A frightening Saturday Night…please pray for all of us

Hello to all our family and friends –

We love you and are blessed to be being bathed in your prayers at this time.  We can feel them.

On Saturday night we had an attempted robbery here at our homes.  It was at night around 11 and our dogs were both barking louder than normal on the back of the property.  We exited the house with flashlights and firearms to see what was happening.  One of our guards arrived at the same time.  We saw two men in our flashlight on the property.  We had an exchange of gun fire with them.  We fired to deter them away, but they fired back.  This is certainly the hardest part of this.  Our house was hit, but we Praise Jesus and glorify His name that nobody was hurt.  His angels stood shoulder to shoulder around us.  Chris & the guard were in the open.  Michael & Brinson were coming out of their home firing towards the shots at the same time as well.  We got our families together into the Buzbees home and they all stayed down and we stood guard not knowing what to expect.  Calling our foreman and the Police as  we guarded.

The Police eventually did get here (Santos had to go get them).  Seeing what happened they called in the investigative unit.  They investigated that night, then the following day as well.  The thieves had cut through the fence at the bottom of the hill.  They pursued their tracks in the dry river bed.  They also found the shell casings and it seems they were firing in retreat to keep us from pursuing, which we are thankful for.  At the time we didn’t know this, but it gives some solace now.  We have also been in contact with the US Embassy and we are still meeting with investigators today.  We hope they are able to catch the thieves.

Will you please pray for our families?  Our family members, our pastors, our churches, our friends, and even powerful ones of God whom we haven’t met have been in contact with us praying powerfully over us….We can feel the presence of God with us fighting off fear, fighting off the Evil One and the Evil these thieves brought into our lives.  Spiritually and emotionally we need to be covered in the Lord’s presence now, us and our children.  Thank You!

This was unexpected, but obviously now we are focusing our resources on security.  We have put up a line of security lights on the bottom of the hill, and reinforced the fence with welded steele.  We want to hire another security guard, get another dog, install security cameras/systems and eventually the best thing we could do is build a wall.  We don’t have the finances right now, but our priority is to build a wall.

Will you also pray for the Lord to open up the heavens and provide for all these things.  Thank you!

Our purposes are the Lord’s.  Our lives are His.  Please keep all of the ministry in your prayers as well…we are a big family.  Amen.

“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”  -Romans 15:13
