Walakitang Prayer Request
UPDATE 11/22: Wyeth is out of the Hospital. I spoke with Damaris this morning and little Wyeth is doing well, Praise Jesus! She will be able to go back home now which is a huge relief. He was released yesterday at 4pm and now they are waiting for a boat to be available to make the trip back to Walakitang. Thank you for all of your prayers for Wyeth. Also some exciting news, one of the sisters from the Church was also in Wiwili at the Maternity Clinic. She came to Wiwili a few weeks ago with complications, but two days ago she delivered her baby…a baby girl. That is a great news.
I am sorry we haven’t had many blog posts recently. We do hope to get on and catch up on some recent happenings in ministry and other things.
But this morning we want to ask for you prayers for a little boy named Wyeth. He is Pastor Victor and Damaris’s son from Walakitang. We just got a call yesterday that he is very sick and Damaris left Walakitang with him on the two day boat ride to a town with a hospital. We have spoken with her and he is getting better, but the Hospital is keeping him admitted and she doesn’t know when he will be getting out.
He has pulmonary pneumonia and a case of the Dengue fever. Either of those two things on their own is serious, so the combination explains why they had to get him out. Dengue is a mosquito born illness similar to Malaria but worse. There has been an epidemic here in Managua in recent weeks.
I told Damaris we would be praying for Wyeth and this morning I felt it a great idea to ask all of you to pray for him too. I wish I had a picture, but I can’t just ask her to take a picture on her phone and email it to me 🙂
His name is Wyeth and he needs our prayers.
