Ruby Ranch is the newest frontier for Open Hearts. It is a 400 acre ranch about an hour outside of Managua. We hope to make this into a retreat center for ministry over the next decade or so. The dream is to include equipping the ranch with cabins, dining hall and meeting areas for doing camps with youth and adults that we minister to on a consistent basis in Managua. We also plan to reach the local rural community surrounding Ruby Ranch. We will offer access to ropes courses, hiking trails, horse rides, play areas, sports fields and even a man made pond with a rope swing! As you can see in the pictures below, we already have an insane Slip-N-Slide. Check out this episode of the series “The Find” on LGHtv where Krista’s brother Brinson and Ruby Ranch are featured as the Hansow family is exploring Nicaragua.
Our vision for Ruby Ranch is that it will be a place for in depth ministry with people in Nicaragua. We are asking God to place his presence there and impact individual’s lives in profound ways. One of the first projects accomplished, was to build an outdoor chapel at a high point on a surrounding hill. This hill is now appropriately called “Chapel Hill”. It is a beautiful spot to sit and enjoy the Lord’s presence.
There is also land we can harvest, so hopefully Ruby Ranch will be able to produce crops to help sustain some of the nutritional needs of the ongoing ministries of Open Hearts.

Please pray for this great thing God is doing in Nicaragua!
