Krista’s water broke in the morning at 4:30 in the morning on March 20th….her water broke for Aliyah, but not for Mason or Bella. We all got up and got things together….we called Aunt Ebi and she got Gramma up and went to wake up Mema (Chris’s mom who is down for baby Juliette’s birth). Everyone was in the house when Mason & Aliyah finally woke up, they were like “what is going on here” 🙂 It was funny.
We waited at home until about 9 a.m. to miss traffic and Krista was having mild inconsistent contractions. We got to the hospital around 10 and visited Dr. Mendieta to see how things were. Everything was good after the exam and Krista was 4 cm and so we checked in. He told us it would be 2-4 hours….he was right…go figure.
To get things going, we started walking laps around the hospital. Eventually the labor pains got really tough and Krista’s contractions were close together, Krista stayed focused and fought the pain with Gramma her super coach! Around 1 we called the doctors and headed over to the delivery room. Krista was having intense contractions and was kicking their butts (she wouldn’t want me saying that, but really domination!). It was hard and consistent, so once we got everything set up and got all the gowns on it was go time.
Krista pushed about four or five times at full strength. I was expecting it to be a bit longer but then all of a sudden Juliette was born and the doctors were yelling IT’S A GIRL IT’S A GIRL!!! What a thrill…what a blessing. We are so thankful and so blessed!
Praise Jesus for Juliette Krista Farrington’s life today!!!
We stayed the night in the hospital….Aliyah, Mason & Bella all came to visit along with all our other family, as well as some via Skype, which was so wild! We came home today and are settling back in….it is crazy that is was all just yesterday! Aliyah made some awesome welcome home pictures with Mema which were awesome. Here are a bunch of photos if you would like to see them.
Thank you for all of your prayers for Krista and Juliette over the last nine months!!!
Thank you Mema for all the great pictures!
