Trip up the River…Please Pray!

Chris is leaving tomorrow morning at 3:30 am to head to Walakitang.  They are on a mission to work with Pastor Victor and encourage the church there.  We will be visiting families and praying for them and spending time with them.  We also have 12 bibles in the native Miskito language, 40 New Testaments, 40 Gospels of John, 12 children’s Bible workbooks to distribute.  We also have three solar powered “Proclamers” that dictate the New Testament in the Miskito language.  We hope to leave those in three different communities.  We will be visiting Xixiaris for the first time, which is a community further down the river where a new church has begun.

The team members are Chris & Patty Ward (who provided all the Bible materials), Mark Nash (Chris’s cousin), Brinson, Gerald our translator & Victor.  Mike Booth & Michael Perkins will be driving us up to the river tomorrow.

Please pray for us all by name and set this trip before the Lord.  We want to be there in Walakitang & Xixiaris to glorify Jesus.  We want to pray for people, talk with people, love on people.  We also want to come with the powerful light of Jesus that pushes away all darkness!  Please pray for us!  Thank you!

I wasn’t able to snap a group picture, but got a couple shots of some of us with the cargo (we are bringing 700 lbs of beans & rice too).  We are looking forward to a good trip!  Amen.  Please pray for our safety as well as we will be pretty far out of contact.
