A Testimony…

Krista and I had a wonderful time in Miami.  We came for several reasons; to visit my family for the Holidays, to relax, to maybe do a mini vacation, to debrief from a difficult fall.  I want to testify that no beach, no fun fast food restaurant, no shopping mall, non of the fun stuff of good ol’ USA compares to being with God’s powerful people in His presence!  God’s people are in Miami and they have power.  I have felt the presence of the Lord powerfully, at dinners, in prayer meetings, on couches, in living rooms, in kitchens, in the sanctuary at Christ Journey Church with God’s people and it has affected me greatly!  We are so thankful!

I would like to share a testimony of what the Lord has done for me….

1 Thessalonians 5:16 “Rejoice Always!”

For as long as I can remember I have always had a joyful and excited spirit.  Some of this had been taken from me, but the Lord gave it back to me during a prayer time on a couch in the “living room” at Christ Journey Church.  I need to gain strength in this way…be joyful always!  How do I get this joy?  How do I find it when I am not there and can feel that I am not joyful.  I love to sing, don’t sing well, but love singing…all the time…I just sing.  The Lord will give me JOY when I sing a song to him.

Psalm 100 – “Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth.  Serve the Lord with gladness;  Come before Him with joyful singing.  Know that the Lrd Himself is God;  It is He who has made us, and not we ourselves.  We are His people and the sheep of His pasture.  Enter His gates with thanksgiving and His courts with praise.  Give thanks to Him, bless His name.  For the Lord is good; His lovingkindness is everlasting and His faithfulness to all generations.”

Decree the Word of God

In my life I need to decree the Word of God over all things…with authority!  Stretching out my hands in prayer and decreeing the Word of God.  In Matthew 10:32-34 it is obvious that we are in a war for the Kingdom of God.  As a prophet, decree the Word of God, all day long.  I should always watch what comes out of my mouth.

I should speak life!

Love –  War with Love, Pray with Love, Destroy the enemy with Love.

Humble  –  Humble  –  Humble  –  Humble  –  Humble  –  Humble  –  Humble

Humility:  I have nothing…I am in the presence of the Lord for the reason to be filled with Him, nothing else.  

The Lord broke me personally of burdens I was taking out of pride and out of a spirit of angst and pressure that were not from Him.  I was even ministered to against an evil spirit that was harassing me physically.  I am still a work in process.  This trip for me was a Spiritual renewal, God did great things for me personally, for Krista and I, for our family.  It was a truly great time.  I am filled.

 Amen.

Anyone who knows me knows I love my mother.  The time we had with my family was so precious and filled my Spirit as well.  Mema took care of us for all that time and among all the fun stuff we did together, treated us to the best thing…time with her and great meals nearly every night.  I love you mom, I miss you already.
