Year End Celebrations…

It is that time of year and we are so so very thankful for another year of ministry here in Nicaragua. God has made a way for us to continue to serve and there are so many people on the ground here who put their hands to the plow and get to work every day at all our ministry sites…Praise the Lord, every ounce of our efforts and works go towards projects that honor and glorify Jesus. There is no other place we would rather be, amen!

The end of the year in Nicaragua is the end of the school year, so that means graduation! We were so thankful to have a full graduating class of Kindergarten students who will graduate into Ileana’s School next year at Club Esperanza. We feel like one of our biggest callings from the Lord in the community we serve down by the Managua dump is to help children as early as we can. Get into their lives and change their futures away from poverty and despair and into a life of hope and purpose. So when all these beautiful little ones get all dressed up for their graduation it gives our hearts great joy!

We also celebrate all of the Sixth graders, many who have been with us at Club Esperanza since they were only three years old. They will move on now to their High School careers and we ask you to keep them in your prayers. We don’t have a high school yet at Club Esperanza, but we will stay involved in each of their lives and help them in any way that we can! (Click the picture below and it should link to their hat toss!).

We also all gathered at the Ruben Dario National Theatre to celebrate Elery’s graduation from sixth grade. Elery is one of our boys at Robles and we have had him as part of our lives from many years now. He excelled in school this past year and received numerous honors during his graduation from Colegio Bautista Managua. Next year will be high school and we are always trying to find better ways to serve these boys (young men) so that they will grow up to be called “oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord”….Isaiah 61. Please keep Elery and all the boys at Robles in your prayers!

Lastly is our end of the year celebrations at Club Esperanza. We want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to everyone who was able to help with our Christmas Presents and Christmas Party to end the year. It was a two day celebration. On the first night we had all of the students doing their Christmas performances with reenactments and dances put on by each class. The night ended with some amazing Nicaraguan fireworks! If you follow our facebook page you may have seen some of the Reels we put up…check out the page for many more fun photos and videos of the end of the year!

Lastly was our Christmas party with gifts and a meal for everyone. I love that we have so many of you willing to help. Because of that we had a gift for all of our over 300 students and served almost 1,000 meals to them and their families. Praise God, it was a very very Merry Christmas at Club Esperanza!!!

We bless you this week friends. Our family is so thankful for all of your support and we wish you a Merry Christmas. This week we celebrate the birth of Jesus who is Emmanuel, God with us! That the Lord of all creation came down to experience life with us is a truly amazing thing. It gives us great Joy and Hope!

May this time of year be filled with Joy and Hope for you! We love you friends!
